Graduate School of Informatics
The Graduate School of Informatics has established the Information Science Program and the Social Informatics Program to respond to the wide range of fields that society demands of modern informatics, providing students with a wide range of learning and research opportunities spanning from information science to the humanities and social sciences. In this program, students will develop the ability to apply the AI, data science, and other skills and knowledge acquired at the undergraduate level to more advanced and practical situations, deepen their understanding and insight into various specialized fields related to information technology, and develop the ability to engage in cutting-edge research. The program also offers courses that provide an overview of various fields related to informatics, and provides students with opportunities to gain awareness and insight into the relationship between each research field and the real world.
Graduate School of Medicine
The Graduate School of Medicine aims to build a world-leading center for medical education, medical research, and medical care by exploring and dynamically integrating scientific knowledge (Science), ethics (Ethics), and skills (Skill). We will further promote advanced life science research and foster medical researchers capable of investigating disease etiology and implementing systematic treatment strategies. We will also encourage medical professionals with high ethical standards and outstanding clinical research skills, and promote the return of research results to society.
Graduate School of Health Sciences
It is a center for education, research, and health care in health sciences. The Graduate School of Health Sciences, offering three courses in its master’s and doctoral programs, consists of three departments: Nursing, Laboratory Sciences, and Rehabilitation Sciences. It fosters talented individuals with a broad range of academic knowledge, advanced expertise, and ethics, who will further enhance their knowledge, skills, and basic research abilities in health sciences and conduct original or interdisciplinary research to promote the health of individuals and groups and improve the quality of their lives.
Graduate School of Science and Technology

Graduate School of Food and Population Health Sciences
Food and health science is an academic discipline based on medical science, health science, food science, food production engineering, and environmental science. Through the search for evidence on food and health, we aim to realize a healthy society through food. Furthermore, we aim to create high value-added and low-carbon food products and their production systems based on the evidence. We will promote the creation of innovations to realize a society that can flexibly withstand the changes in industrial structure that are expected to occur in the future, the creation of new employment opportunities through the creation of new industries, and the ongoing development of highly specialized human resources and researchers who will play a key role in these efforts. We will accelerate the achievement of the SDGs based on food and health science, and will strengthen both the “function of creating health innovation that leads to the solution of global issues and social transformation” and the “function of leading the solution of regional issues by driving productivity improvement and job creation in regional industries and utilizing our research capabilities through collaboration with local governments, industry, and the financial industry, etc.”. We will lead health promotion that sustainably enhances the well-being of humankind and the planet by strengthening both of these functions.
Interfaculty Initiative in Public Health
The program fosters human resources who possess global standard public health knowledge in the five basic areas of epidemiology, medical statistics, social and behavioral sciences, occupational and environmental health, and health policy and management, and who can play a leading role as advanced specialists in solving public health issues in the region, Japan and abroad.
Interfaculty Initiative in Regulatory Science of Biomedical Science and Engineering
The program aims to develop human resources who have a bird’s-eye view of academic fields ranging from science and engineering to biomedical science, who have a sense of responsibility and ethics, and who have a background in regulatory science that will lead to the implementation of advanced research in society. They are expected to play a leading role as advanced specialists in industry and medicine in the region and abroad.
