University Faculty Housing
Researchers employed by Gunma University are eligible to live in the Faculty housing with their families. Many Japanese faculty and staff reside in this housing. The distance from each campus to each dormitory is approximately as follows.

The housings for faculty and staff are placed for group living, so there are many rules and regulations. At times, a resident may be in charge of on-duty duties such as distributing and circulating publicity, collecting common expenses, depositing money in the bank, and so on. When the resident move out, he/she will be charged the same restoration and cleaning fees as when you moved in.

International House (Dormitory)
Visiting international researchers staying at Gunma university for academic exchange may reside in the International House. However, faculty and staff employed by Gunma University are not eligible. The majority of residents in the International House are international students, and the number of rooms available for the researchers is limited.

Rental Apartment
Private apartments are contracted and then occupied. Contracts are often for two years, and a guarantor may be required at the time of signing. When moving in, it is recommended that you purchase renter’s insurance in case of emergency.
